Alex Bocaranda, President-CEO

Officer With over 22 years of private security experience. Alex Bocaranda is the principal owner of Security Management Innovations with control of all administrative and operational functions. As founder of Security Management Innovations Alex is responsible for setting a strategy and vision to determine which markets Security Management Innovations will enter, he personally oversees all strategic planning, business development, and consulting services. Assures the organization and its mission, programs, and services are consistently presented in a strong positive manner. Alex Bocaranda has designed and implemented a philosophy that has seen his company grow from ten employees to over three hundred employees and expanded operational activities to Colombia, South America. His philosophy is: Personalized customer service to clients and employees, ongoing relationships with clients, knowledge of the security industry, understanding the specific markets that we serve As a mentor of his own philosophy and initiatives Alex Bocaranda has taken his beliefs into the private security industry. By serving as the ASIS Chapter Chairmen for three years, 2005, 2006, and 2007, his mission was to change the face of the security industry by elevating security practices.

Mauricio J. Perez, Quality Assurance Specialist

Mauricio has been working in the security industry for the past 16 years. Mauricio started his security career while living in Los Angeles California as a security officer. Since 2000 since he has been back in Florida, has been working in commercial and residential accounts. Mauricio has now joined the SMI team, and personalized in customer service. Mauricio has specific guidelines which he has to ensure that SMI follows at all times, guidelines such as determine and document any areas that may need improvement, review the current policies and procedures, and implement them to all SMI employees. Mauricio is also responsible for training SMI accounts on all current policies, and procedures.. 

David Baquerizo, Regional Sales Manager Florida Region

David brings a combined sales experience of over 11 years to SMI with the past 6 years being dedicated solely to the security services industry.  David’s responsibilities at SMI is to generate new security contracts, increase revenue within the current client base of customers and to expand SMI into other cities throughout the Florida region and other areas of the united States.  
David’s past security sales background was focused on creating new partnerships within the following vertical markets: Healthcare, Residential, Higher Education, Commercial Real Estate, Industrial and Government Sectors. 

 

Valentine Emeric , Operations Manager

With over 14 years of security training experience. Valentin is the Quality Assurance Specialist for Security Management Innovations. Valentin is responsible for developing and implementing quality management procedures and systems. Valentin ensures that all existing standards of service are satisfactory and follow company guidelines. Valentin has specific guidelines which he has to ensure that Security Management Innovations follows at all times, guidelines such as determine and document any areas that may need improvement, review the current policies and improvise plans to improve upon existing quality standards, educate sales and marketing departments regarding the specific requirement of Security Management Innovations and clients. Valentin also oversees the entire Security Management Innovations training department and ensures that all required monthly trainings are conducted. Valentin professional experience includes over 7 years as a Public Safety Director in the commercial level for a high profile worldwide security and property management firm. This position involved planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the security and safety for all employees and guest. Valentine worked alongside Public Safety authorities to ensure all security functions as well as coordinating the activities of guest and employees were met in safe environment.

Maria Del Burgo , Accounting Coordinator

Maria has over 20 years of experience in Office Management, Accounting and Administrative Support and has used this experience in various fields throughout her career. Before Maria came to work for us she worked for an export company and spent the next 18 years working for them as an Office Manager were her time was spent on developing procedures and systems that would help prepare the company for growth. Maria as our Accounting Coordinator oversees all accounting aspect for Security Management Innovations establishing and implementing systems, controls and procedures for office administration and record keeping ... ensuring compliance of financial transactions with established accounting standards and company policies … preparation and analysis of financial statements ... coordinating pay¬roll opera¬tions ... posting to general ledger through trial balance ... assisting with audits … performing ac¬count and bank reconciliations ... overseeing customer billing and col¬lec¬tions ... performs a variety of administrative and executive support functions Maria is a hard working, responsible and highly motivated self-starter, leader and team player.
